68.1 Mode of Action (வினைசெயல் வகை)

How to make and execute a decision?

 

Answer:

 

A decision should follow due deliberation, but once

the decision is made, delay in implementation and

dilatoriness in execution is extremely harmful.                    (Couplet – 671)

சூழ்ச்சி முடிவு துணிவெய்தல் அத்துணிவு

தாழ்ச்சியுள் தங்குதல் தீது.                                            (குறள் – 671)

 

Explanation:

              When confronted with a problem, steps should be taken to define it, analyze it, deliberate on the various options for solving it, and arrive at the best solution. Once the best solution has been reached, it should be implemented without any delay. This is the modern management practice recommended by management gurus like Peter Drucker. Surprisingly, Valluvar recommended the same approach two thousand years ago.
