Question:

            What happens if one overeats?

Answer:

            As joy stays with the moderate eater, sickness stays

with the overeater.                                                     (Couplet – 946)

Eating beyond one’s hunger limits results in

countless ailments.                                                     (Couplet – 947)

 

            இழிவறிந்து உண்பான்கண் இன்பம்போல் நிற்கும்

கழிபேர் இரையான்கண் நோய்.                      (குறள் – 946)

தீயள வன்றித் தெரியான் பெரிதுண்ணின்

நோயள வின்றிப் படும்.                           (குறள் – 947)

 

Explanation:
